Job Programs:

Day Array Services

Day Array Services are designed to provide an array of vocational and therapeutic recreation services with an end goal of preparing interested participants for community employment in a competitive job while providing them with a daily recreational outlet. Services are provided at local YMCAs where participants complete a schedule of daily work activities as defined by appropriate YMCA staff to assist them in learning to meet the expectations of the competitive work place and gain recent work experience. Participants also participate in recreational activities using YMCA equipment and facilities to improve their physical stamina and conditioning and to provide a daily recreational outlet. Further, participants attend daily classes designed to help them learn job retention and social skills, as well as how to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. A JVS Site Supervisor accompanies the participants daily to provide instruction and supervision during all work and recreational activities and teach classes. Each participant is assigned a JVS Case Manager who assists in the development of an individualized program plan and who also makes periodic site visits to ensure individual needs are met.
